Lunar Eclipse in Virgo

If the table is a mess, and you’re unsure where all the bits and bobs are meant to go, how do you respond to the confusion?
How do you re-act, when part of you is keen to refuse the right for the chaos, the coat in need of tailoring & the dirty fingernails, to exist?
It is very easy to respond to distress over a lack of functionality & effectiveness in a habitually distressing way.
When you encounter an experience that lacks a clearly defined, effective process or procedure to adhere to, or when the lack of excellence feels like nails on a chalkboard, you probably have a go-to response. We all do.
The ease with which we go to judgment or criticism when our attempts to be methodical & effective are disrupted by life's lack of cohesion, is now apt for a change.
Eclipses promise an experience you don’t see coming.
The period leading up to and surrounding an eclipse is the landscape in which a shift of the zeitgeist occurs. Something you couldn't have predicted happens, and some surprising entries and exits are made, particularly on the global stage.
Someone famous might die, or their reputation ends up in a coffin, never to be opened again. A celebrity is suddenly no longer "celebrated."
But cut off the external noise of media distractions and think about a personal-to-you POV for maximum effect: has something come through that can help you integrate the struggle, of trying to be exacting & efficient in a hyper dysfunctional experience?
Has a way of working away at life, left you recently?
How trusting can you be of the room that's been created for a radically new way to use your energy, day to day? A change to the ratio of how you use what you've got to use - so you experience more peace?
Have you been given an insight on how to respond to your judgements, incoming criticism, your health, your digestion that you didn’t see coming?
This is eclipse territory. It’s all about out-of-bounds insights.
A perspective that seemed way too far out to consider comes into your stratosphere. But consider it rather than argue with it. 'Cause it's here.
If the experience or insight had a physical origin it’d be at the boundary of the solar system. THAT'S how far out of our everyday perspective it is.
Yet it’s an insight that will be integral in assisting us with day to day habits - ones that help us be more efficient during chaos. It'll help us become more practical about our health needs, and more spiritually informed. So we don't feel so alone or afraid of wholly ungrounding experiences.
Wild, right?
Let the information in. Some things you can’t argue. Judgement does nothing to change the current position. It just seeps energy from our capacity to be compassionate.
We can alter our holistic health moving forward, and support the fostering and care of our individual spark by what we begin to do everyday.
That includes mental habits and our relationship with our bodily needs. Particularly our need to take responsibility for creating the ease we need, in the body.
If we’re going to focus so much on using the mind, we best be ensuring it’s collaborating with our bodies in healthful and helpful ways.
What is it about your health, habits, struggles with being efficient that’s getting warped?
ASK: If everything seems disruptive to my need for ease, how can I choose to structure the beauty, bliss and ease I need?
ASK: How can I fight for my right to feel contained and comforted and enjoy the beauty and bliss that's part of life, when there’s shit all over the table and the airwaves?
When things are warped, as they are during an eclipse period, the pattern that helps you make sense of your experiences is not easily decipherable.
But perhaps it is, you know? It just requires a leap in consciousness to discern the pattern (don’t forget the origins of this new insight - far beyond comfort or norm).
Words can be paltry with this kind of awareness.
You have to go beyond the reach of your current ideas about the power of love, and your desire to not want to upset the apple cart. Which you will inevitably do anyway, if you deny the body's message of "hey - this situation wasn't made to be harmonious. It's a portal."
You have to integrate and accept that it takes hard, often uneasy and messy work to stabilize a feeling of ease, in the body. You have to go through the awful feeling in the body, to access the peace you’re willing to do anything for. The sparkle only arrives after the fragmentation.
Sometimes the truth of what you need to do to heal feels disgusting.
Focus on the inner process, first. See, you can want to offer harmony in the company of others, but it's not really possible if you're unwilling to locate a peace treaty within you.
If you’re more interested in pointing out the faults within your feeling state, and all the ways you're falling short, you need to develop a relationship with your inner Nemesis, or Dike (have a look at these ladies of myth to further explore your inner Virgo function).
Promises are made and broken.
These events can create an inner storm that ravages for centuries. But eventually, the winds of this current chaotic phase - which I believe is activating long term, ancestral struggles we're here to take note of and heal - will settle. And when they do, you’ll have a clearer understanding of what step to take next.
What does Wilson Phillips say? "Hold on for one more day" & "Why do you lock yourself up in these chains?" 80's pop music wisdom at its finest.
This Virgo Eclipse post has been really challenging to write. It's been a masterclass in astro-humbleness.
I try to put the thoughts that have come to me en masse over the last week into digestible morsels. To categorize them - make them functional. Hard to find the right order and way to say it, without adding to the confusion pile.
Which, BTW, thanks to retrograde Mercury and Venus we're well suited to experience disorientation to varying degrees until April 15 (now that’s a great day for a birthday, am I right?)
The personal struggle of the Virgo eclipse has been this: how to set the tone of settled consciousness, to support a feeling of stability in the collective, when portals of change are activated?
Survey says you don't. You just do the best you can. You try to do what you do, even if you feel feeble. Most of the time, that's when the best parts of you arrive at the table, anyway.
We're going through a collective period of up heaving old patterns, in preparation to begin some new ones.
The new moon in Aries is around the corner, which will be helpful for making a revision to our perspective about our individual journeys.
It's an optimistic energy that's currently hard to hold steady since we collectively have the equivalent of a strict task masker staring us down, demanding we do the spiritual work that the world and all the other realms need us to do. This kind of work requires we face all of the feelings - not just ones we like. And learn to have compassion for them. It also needs us to schedule in time to just chill out and work at creating peace within us, 'cause that inner work is what creates our outer experiences.
But right now, we're in dialogue with the future and past, and facing the potential of immense change. Sensing a part of us we haven't met yet. So glitching out is commonplace.
We’re in-process right now.
It's a period of revising our relationship with the energies of love, our perceptions about our relationships - perhaps considering the unsightly truths we'd been hesitant to see. The ways harmony isn't possible. We just need to move on. And make amends with the past. Let go of the analyzing and accept what's occurred. All this stuff that is so dang easy to type yet a monumental feat to put into inspired action.
Our personal drive, and the way we use our life force is something to ponder - maybe you already are. What are you using your energy for day to day, and in what way? Can you use less over there, and channel more of it over there, where there's more holistic profit: wealth of body, mind, soul and money?
We’re also set to begin reconsidering our relationship with courage, and our impulsive nature. Perhaps we’ll come out the other end of this phase a bit more driven by our spirit, rather than a want to go to battle to compensate for feeling rejected.
Bottom line: if you need to change a destructive auto-response to chaos, you can receive a surprising assist surrounding the full moon eclipse in Virgo.
It could be a weird way to go about it. But it's more effective than all your previous ideas & practices.
We have the opportunity to release the lower-minded responses to life that Virgo is known for:
judgement
perfectionism
being a habitual antagonist
criticizing
getting overwhelmed by the details & missing the bigger picture.
Virgo is hardworking and industrious. It wants to do a good job - more than most. It’s a sign known for using its awareness of the details to become highly skilled at something that serves more than just itself.
We need this kind of work ethic in the world directed toward a marketplace that provides useful services.
Purging the judgement, by locating the source seed within us & committing to habitually doing the healing work required, is a quality undertaking. It helps us get out of our own way.
The habit of stabilizing love in your body pays off. I’m not the kind of person who only sees love & light. I'm not denying the other aspects of livin'. Because that leads to more of the sepsis.
I’m stating that love changes your state.
And you need that in droves when you're consumed by flaw-naming as a method for covering up the anxiety of habitual judging.
It's realizing fake hair & lashes are not a substitute for good nutrition & healthy adrenals (adrenals affect the thyroid, which affects hair - start at the source).
And considering cleanliness as paramount to our spiritual well-being - that honoring the body changes your state and perspective. It’s like casting a vote for yourself. It's an act of giving yourself the confidence to keep at what you’re skilled at, and doing what you need to do to support that skill being offered to the world - for better or worse.
Not because it will ever be done perfectly, but because you're skilled at it, and you showed up, and that’s enough.
I'll leave you with this:
Where have your hands caused your own chaos & sadness?
Clean your fingernails. But do it consciously.
No bloody fingertips. A gentle scrub, done habitually, is all that’s needed.
Go easy on my friend. I’m talking to you.
